About the role:   

Reporting to the Superintendent, Water Operations,  the Senior Lead, Water Operations is responsible for providing senior leadership, technical direction, and decision-making support to the existing West Line Creek (WLC) treatment facility, as well as the new WLC and Line Creek Dry Creek RO-HDS facilities. You will lead a team of technical professionals responsible for managing environmental risks and satisfying regulatory requirements associated with the treatment facilities and projects.  

To be successful we are looking for someone with strong technical experience, outstanding critical thinking, and complex problem solving abilities, who can make quick decisions in day-to-day operations. We require someone with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who can lead and mentor a team, and who has experience with conflict resolution. Strong attention to detail, adaptability, and the ability to effectively prioritize demands in a fast-paced environment will also be crucial.

Our RO-HDS and AWTF facilities represent some of the most advanced selenium, nitrate and sulphate removal technology in the world - working to advance the objectives of the Elk Valley Water Quality Plan.

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
