About the role:   
 
Reporting to the Coordinator Environment, Compliance, the Environmental Technician is responsible for assessing and supporting ongoing environmental management and compliance associated with EVR’s Cardinal River mine (CRM). This field-based role will focus on compliance sampling (water, soil, air), data management, regulatory reporting, data requests, and data review/entry. This position follows a 9 on 5 off day shift schedule.  
 
To be successful, we are looking for someone who enjoys organizing field tasks, a team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, who can collaborate with internal operations and project teams, and also liaise with the public, clients and government agencies. The successful individual would be a self-starter who remains positive and motivated in inclement weather at outdoor, remote locations. This person would also have strong analytical and decision-making abilities with a proven capacity in practical problem solving.  
 
In this position, you will be working at one of Canada's most unique mine sites in active closure. This position is critical to the execution of regulatory approvals and licenses, including closure and reclamation plans. As well an exciting opportunity to work with multiple consultants on CRM’s environmental projects.
