About the role:
Reporting to the Lead Systems, Environment Water Treatment, the EMS Coordinator is responsible for supporting the systematization and implementation of regulatory requirements, coordinating the environmental incident and inspection databases and related documents management and coordinating environmental training for EVR’s water treatment facilities. This role plays an important part in maintaining compliance related to our obligations and internal HSEC-HR Standards and proactively mitigate environmental and regulatory risks.
To be successful, we are looking for someone with strong interpersonal and communication skills, who can build positive relationships and demonstrate integrity, collaboration and environmental leadership. This person thrives in a fast-paced team environment and can prioritize and organize contending demands. Most importantly, we require an individual with outstanding organizational skills, a systematic, process driven mindset and the ability to understand and interpret complex regulations and assess their impact on the organization with purpose of influencing and implementing continuous improvement.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a team of passionate professionals working with EVR’s Water Treatment technologies (Active water Treatment Facilities (AWTFs), Saturated Rock Fills (SRFs), Antiscalant Addition Facilities (AAFs) and Reverse Osmosis – High Density Sludge (RO-HDS) treatment facilities). These facilities represent some of the most advanced selenium and nitrate removal and calcite prevention technologies in the world. This position will be part of a team of hard-working professionals in a growing and technically exciting field to advance the objectives of EVR’s Elk Valley Water Quality Plan!

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
