About the role:
Reporting to the General Counsel, Legal & Compliance team, and EVR executive management team, the Executive Assistant, Corporate is responsible for providing senior administrative, legal coordination, and corporate governance support to the Vice-President, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary and the Legal & Compliance Department.
The role also provides coordination and executive administrative support to Vancouver-based executives and senior leadership working in Vancouver. This is an executive-level support role requiring strong judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage highly confidential and commercially sensitive information.
The position serves as a key coordination point between EVR and Glencore leadership, shareholders, external counsel, and corporate and operations teams across multiple jurisdictions including Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea and Switzerland.
To be successful, we are looking for someone who can operate in a fast-paced corporate environment and will be expected to anticipate needs, manage information flow, and help ensure the Legal & Compliance function operates efficiently and predictably.
The ideal candidate demonstrates exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and reliable follow-through, with the ability to manage competing priorities and urgent matters independently.
They exercise sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential and privileged information, communicate professionally and confidently with senior executives and external counsel, and bring a collaborative, proactive approach to a dynamic environment while maintaining a positive attitude and sense of humour.
Flexibility to work occasional extended hours to accommodate business and international requirements is essential.
