About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Lead, Regional Air and Climate Action, the Lead, Climate Change’s primary function is to manage EVR’s company-wide climate change-related management processes and practices, with key accountabilities tied to the tracking and reporting of EVR’s climate change performance for determining carbon tax payments (>$50 million annually across EVR) and measuring progress against climate targets.
Managing EVR’s climate change management practices involves facilitating the collection of energy use and greenhouse gas emissions information across all applicable EVR locations per defined internal and external reporting schedules. This includes managing the data and data applications within which this information is gathered and stored, and reporting climate data externally. The role collaborates with those involved in related reporting, finance, business planning, decarbonization, logistics, marketing, and other groups across the organization to ensure that climate change data is utilized to drive value for the business.
This position is also responsible for revising EVR’s climate change-related management processes and practices to meet requirements outlined by Glencore’s Energy and Climate Change standard. This includes leading climate risk assessments, developing a climate management plan, and conducting climate baseline assessments. This position manages the external assurance providers necessary for all EVR assets to complete compliance reporting under provincial and federal greenhouse gas reporting programs. This position is the relationship holder with the BC Ministry of Energy and Climate Solutions.

Salary $ 99,440 / year
The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
