About the role:
Reporting to the Senior Engineering Supervisor, the Engineer, Mining is responsible for developing and optimizing strategic long-range plans to sustain and extend the Life of Mine at Fording River Operations. The role involves executing all aspects of long-range planning including: pit, spoil and haul road design optimizations, life of mine schedules, strategic evaluations, all while considering potential impacts to sustainable development. This role is an excellent opportunity for an engineer looking to make a positive impact on the business.
To be successful, we are looking for someone who is self-motivated and enjoys working in a team environment with all levels of an organization. This person has strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and is dedicated to continuous improvement. They have proven problem solving skills and can organize competing priorities to enable effective decision making.

The actual base salary offered is determined based on the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, and competencies and considers internal equity.
